Gaining Knowledge

At MCC a student’s academic growth is closely monitored and consistently shared with families to ensure each student is working to their full potential.

  • Our seniors have the opportunity to take part in Dual Enrollment Classes at West Shore Community College which earns free college credit before they even finish high school.

  • Realigned academic foundation focused on high school prep (6th-8th) and college prep courses (9th-12th), online curriculum, and project based learning. 

  • Extracurricular FIeld trips, Robotics, Science Olympiad, Quiz Bowl, Poetry Out Loud, & introducing Drama/Theater Club for 2022/23

  • High school language program, elementary and middle school Spanish for 2022/23

  • Salmon in the Classroom project implemented in 2021 for middle school students.

Faith and Stewardship

Every day students are encouraged to practice their faith and carry out their Christian values to the fullest extent. Christian behavior is stressed as much as academic excellence, which creates exceptionally well-rounded students.

  • Weekly Mass celebrated with students taking part in various aspects from reading to altar serving

  • Every year our older students take part in a religious retreat to facilitate spiritual growth

  • Students of all ages pray and assemble as the Living Rosary

Extra-Curricular Opportunities

Our students participate and excel in a variety of extra-curricular activities developing a strong work ethic and problem solving skills helping prepare them for success well beyond their years at MCC. For more information about student life, click here.

  • Science Olympiad: 2021 - 2022 Team competed at regional competition.

  • Washington Group for Life: Students spend a week in our nation's capital, gaining firsthand knowledge of our country's government and exploring sites of historical significance

 

  • Sports: 

    • 2021 Boys Varsity Basketball Team named BCAM Class D Academic State Champions.

    • 2021 Saber Boys Track and FIeld Team wins WMD League Championship, places 7th in the state at the exclusive MITCA track meet.

    • Saber Golf Team wins WMD League Championship.

    • MCC/MCE Boys and Girls Co-op Cross Country Teams win WMD League Championship.

    • Saber Girls Varsity Basketball Team wins WMD League Championship

    • Saber Boys Middle School Basketball Team wins WMD League Championship.

  • Robotics: MCC Robotics program sends team to state finals, qualifies for Vex IQ Robotics World Championships in Dallas, Texas. For more information, click here.
