OUR MISSION

Manistee Catholic Central School provides opportunities for all students to reach their full spiritual and academic potential through Christ-centered education.

OUR HISTORY

Manistee Catholic Central's first graduating class was in 1964 with 39 students, and was dedicated in 1965. After over 50 years of building the school with countless volunteers, this school has graduated over 1,900 students.

While Manistee Catholic Schools was consolidated with St. Joseph's junior and senior high in 1964, St. Joseph's first high school class of freshmen dates back to 1944. They graduated their first class in 1947. It wasn't until 1972 that the elementary class from St. Joseph's parish was moved to MCC.

THE VICTORY BELL

MCC alumn Thomas Polisky '66 lost his life in Vietnam. The MCC victory bell was first dedicated to Polisky in 1969, a year after his death. Jim Polisky ('70), younger brother of Tom Polisky, was on the football team at MCC when the stadium was first built. The bell was dedicated to his brother during that time.
In 2018, a small ceremony was held to honor and remember Tom by ringing the victory bell 50 times. The bell ringing was done by the Saber football team, Tom's classmates, current students, alumni of all ages, family, and friends. The bell was rung for the 50th time by Jim Polisky.
