Yesterday, our school came together to support those who are fighting cancer. Students had a special “pink out” jean day in which they could wear jeans and a pink shirt for a $1 donation instead of their uniform clothes. The varsity volleyball team held a bake sale at lunch to provide delicious treats to students while raising funds for Stomp Out Cancer. In the evening, the lady Sabers middle school and varsity volleyball teams traveled to Walkerville to take part in a Pink Out game. Each girl wore a jersey with the name of a family member or friend who has battled cancer. The middle school girls came up short, but varsity swept the Wildcats in a series of 3 exciting games. Through all of their efforts, the Sabers raised over $400 for Stomp Out Cancer! Thank you to everyone who helped support this important cause!
