Great news for the Saber Robotics program:
Easton Pierce, 6th grade, and Liam Gentz, 5th grade, started Saturday morning at Grandville's New Year's Tournament with nervous confidence as they joined 45 other teams. They started on the Skills Challenge field, they met with their alliance teams.
At the end of 172 rounds the Sabers ranked 3rd.
During the Finals matches, Sabers anxiously watched the other teams. During their drive Sabers scored 89 points.
They closely watched the last match on the edge of their seats...81.
Which means, Sabers Won! FIRST PLACE!
This win advances Easton and Liam to the State Championship on March 11 in Monroe.
