May Crowning

In a time-honored tradition, our students took part in the May Crowning ceremony this morning. Students processed through the school with flowers and ribbons arriving at the statue of the Blessed Mother in the courtyard where flowers were presented and a crown was laid upon Mary’s head. As May is considered the start of spring and new life, we participate in Mary’s crowning to recognize her role of giving life to Our Lord who lifts us out of the long, cold days of winter and plants our hearts in the warm and promising soil of spring.

We’d like to give a special ‘thank you’ to the Divine Mercy choir members for their beautiful musical accompaniment at this event.
