The
purpose of
the Manistee Catholic Central School's Foundation is to solicit property/funds by
way of gifts or bequests from any person, firm, trust, or corporation;
to be held, administered, invested, and the principal and income of all
such property received will be distributed solely to support the
educational needs of MCC School.
Our goal is to ensure that the tradition of quality Catholic education
in Manistee County continues.
The Foundation was established in 1984, and is a separate entity from
Manistee Catholic Central School. It has its own 501(c)(3)
ruling from the Internal Revenue Service allowing it to receive gifts
that are tax deductible to the donors, in accordance with the law.
Up to 50% of adjusted gross income for individuals and up to
10%
of net taxable income for corporations.
The Foundation Board is comprised of twenty one directors, chosen from the
community. These directors hold office for a three-year term on
a
staggered basis and are responsible for the management and growth
of the Foundation.
The
total contributions to Manistee Catholic Central School since the
beginning of the Foundation through October, 2012 is $698,153.42.
